Through a video on his Instagram Story feed, the ‘Shut Up’ hitmaker reveals he is given a police escort to race through the streets of Glasgow so that he can arrive in time for his TRNSMT festival set.
British rapper Stormzy arrived in Scotland with time to spare before his headlining performance at TRNSMT festival on Friday night (July 12) following a flight delay nightmare.
The Glastonbury festival headliner left fans concerned when he took to Instagram hours before his set time and revealed he’d missed three flights in 24 hours, and another had been delayed “by 2 hours”.
However, the “Shut Up” hitmaker later shared video on his Instagram Story timeline of a police escort racing him to the gig through the streets of Glasgow, adding, “Man is going up in the f**king world. Look at that. I have the f**king police escorting us. Man is coming like the f**king Queen. This is gangsta.”
On Thursday, July 11, Stormzy delighted fans when he responded to a tweet which asked: “You going to have a nice drink tomorrow lad?”.
Stormzy replied saying: “It’s Glasgow bro of course im having a f**king drink (sic),” followed by the beer emoji.
